Albanian technology company Kalemi will make its debut on the international event stage at Web Summit 2026, scheduled for November 9–12 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Best known as the developer of social media management platform Publer, the company arrives at the global technology conference following 15 years of bootstrapped growth. Today, Kalemi operates with a 20-person team out of Tirana, managing a portfolio of three software products: Publer, Linkie, and Kibo.

According to company disclosures, Publer surpassed 500,000 active users and reached over $5 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in 2026. The firm achieved these milestones without taking outside venture capital, reinvesting operating revenues to fund its product expansion.

Its participation in Web Summit 2026 marks a strategic move to elevate the corporate umbrella brand, Kalemi, which historically operated in the background while its flagship product gained global traction.

From Solo Project in Tirana to Multi-Product Tech Firm

Kalemi’s origins date back to 2011, when founder and CEO Ervin Kalemi began building Facebook applications while studying computer science. Late in 2012, he created Publer as a simple scheduling tool for Facebook posts.

Over time, the platform expanded into an enterprise social media management suite, enabling businesses, creators, and digital agencies to curate, schedule, and analyze content across multiple social networks within a single dashboard.

While Publer amassed a global user base, the company kept its operational engineering core in the Albanian capital, opening its first corporate office in Tirana in 2017.

“Our products went global long before we did,” founder and CEO Ervin Kalemi said in a statement. “We spent 15 years building out of Albania for the world. Web Summit will mark the first time we take Kalemi abroad and introduce ourselves to that world in person.”

Three Core Products Under the Kalemi Portfolio

At Web Summit 2026, the company will showcase its three software solutions under the unified corporate entity:

  • Publer: A comprehensive social media management platform that enables brands, agencies, and creators to collaborate, schedule, and analyze posts across major channels. It remains Kalemi’s primary revenue driver.
  • Linkie: A customizable “link in bio” tool designed for creators and businesses to consolidate online content, merchandise, and digital channels onto a single landing page.
  • Kibo: The company’s latest product line, designed as an omnichannel customer inbox. Kibo unifies customer conversations across email, live website chat, social media messaging, comments, brand mentions, and reviews into a central workspace.

Visitors to the company’s booth in Lisbon will receive live demonstrations of Publer and Linkie, alongside an early preview of Kibo’s operational capabilities.

Fifteen Years of Bootstrapped Capital Efficiency

Kalemi’s international debut comes as the software company marks its 15th anniversary. According to internal reports, the firm’s growth trajectory has relied entirely on capital efficiency and customer-funded growth rather than equity dilution.

The company’s journey included significant operational hurdles. Changes to Facebook’s platform API in 2018 threatened Publer’s core architecture, requiring a technical pivot. The company reached financial break-even and operational profitability in 2021, later navigating Twitter API pricing revisions in 2023.

Today, Kalemi’s 20-person team serves a global client base. The team intends to leverage its presence at Web Summit to build enterprise brand awareness and connect directly with users, partners, and industry peers.

Sponsoring the Albanian Startup Community

Beyond showcasing its software suite, Kalemi is bringing representatives from the local Albanian tech community to Lisbon. As a Gold Partner for Web Summit 2026, the company received a block of conference passes and allocated 25 tickets to members of the Albanian startup ecosystem.

More than 160 founders and developers applied for the delegation pass. The 25 selected attendees will participate in the Lisbon summit to network with international founders, investors, and corporate leaders.

Kalemi framed the initiative as a way to elevate the broader Albanian tech ecosystem alongside its own international debut.

Kalemi Event Schedule at Web Summit 2026

Kalemi will be exhibiting throughout the conference from November 9 to November 12. The team has scheduled live product demos and daily hospitality events at its booth.

The company will host morning coffee sessions for attendees from November 10 to 12, as well as afternoon networking drinks on November 11 and 12.

Additionally, Kalemi will host an open reception at its booth on November 10, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, featuring catering, networking, and direct discussions with the executive team.

Participating in Web Summit 2026 represents a milestone in the Albanian software firm’s evolution: after scaling a global user base entirely from Tirana, the company is stepping onto the global tech stage to present its corporate brand and product suite in person.
